After reading the article Dynavax, Sinovac the latest to ally on a COVID-19 vaccine, I believe that the company Dynavax has a high potential to be successful in the future. The article describes how the companies Dynavax and Sinovac team up in order to work together in order to find a cure to COVID-19, but also has a hidden message – Dynavax’s brilliant business idea.
In the beginning, the article described how the company Dynavax teamed with multiple other companies to find a cure for Coronavirus. I believe that the reason Dynavax did this is because they know that the first company to find a cure to Coronavirus will make a very large profit and have a huge popularity boost. So, to accomplish this goal, Dynavax teamed up with multiple other biotech companies in order to find a cure, since if there are more resources for Dynavax to use, there is a much higher probability that it could find a cure.
Later on, the article describes how Dynavax will “provide its toll-like receptor 9 agonist adjuvant, CpG 1018, to its partners to boost patients’ immune response to vaccines. The adjuvant is already used in Dynavax’s hepatitis B vaccine, Heplisav-B.” The reason why this statement is important is that it backs up my previous claim, that Dynavax is trying to combine its resources with another companies in order to find a cure, in this case combining its technologies with Sinovac’s technologies in hopes to find a cure faster.
All in all, I believe that Dynavax is a “smart” company. They know that whoever finds the cure to Coronavirus first will greatly prosper since they will receive a lot of money and popularity from the public, and they are taking steps toward this goal by teaming up with other companies in order to combine resources so that they can find a cure faster than other companies which do not have as many resources as they do.
